| View from Berjaya Times Square Hotel, a prison right in the heart of the hustle of the city of Kuala Lumpur, an aura of stillness and almost opressive, reminisence of scene from movies on concentration camp....in a modern day city. |

Wow.. I passed by the prison many many times but never view it from this angle and at night. So this is how it looks like :) Great capture. I think a tighter crop and focus with the tip of the Y will be better?
It must be really in the heart of the city, huh - wow. Funnily enough I passed the prison of Bruges this afternoon (it's outside the city) and was wondering if I would be allowed to take pictures of it because not only does it have 3 perimeters but it also has a moat which made me think of the 21st century castle, but then inverted, if you know what I mean. I like your picture but also like the workshop

Wonderful realistic shot from a strong environment. The exposure is perfect to my opinion and gives a lot of atmosphere the the whole scene. Many sharp details to look at. I like it a lot!
Danny, wonderful shot...i love the lighting...the mood's a bit eerie...anyhow, it certainly look more beautiful than the decaying state it possess in the day time. you captured this well, compo and angle.
Danny,
Really amazing photo. It's got interesting composition and at the same time is very emotionally loaded. Nice colour, too, with the overall rust tone but the brightness of the small blue windows and the white glare of the lights that help prevent escape.
I understand hfty's point about the crop, but I think I'd actually go a little wider instead of tighter, to bring the guard towers at the top completely into the picture. If you tighten the crop on this I think it starts to look too much like an ordinary building (a lousy hotel, an army barracks) and is no longer immediately recognizable as a prison.
Anyway, congratulations on a great shot.
