[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These days, wherever you go and wherever you look, it's steel, chrome, glass, concrete, marble, plastic and other smooth surfaces. Yesterday, I was waiting for a train in an otherwise modern train station north of Copenhagen, and an old building of wood (which covers the stairwell to an underground passage) caught my attention. This probably only goes back 50 years, but it goes back to a time when wood was used much more extensively - also in public buildings - and the contrast to modern decoration and artwork struck me. I find even the many coats of paint and the rusty tracks of dirt and soot refreshing in comparison to how this kind of construction would look today (as a matter of fact, I have an example which I will post tomorrow).

I love this shot Per. The contrast between old and new is really great in your note, and the picture is a stark reminder of times gone by. Things are so fast these days, we don't have time to enjoy these grand old things. Considering where this is, the detail is great. Well done and well seen!

Wonderful details you spotted here Per - You did a fine job here - I'm usually concentrate on "big picture" and forget the details - too bad - I must work on this ;-)

I like the colour combination - classic also on Fyn.

Very nice detail Per, beautiful work.

Well done Per, your note is very informative and interesting, the image is also typical of old fashioned hard work and pride, yep I agree with you concerning the structures of today, there just is no comparison to yesterday, just look at the castles around the world.
Well seen and captured.
