[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
"it's mass produced and handmade, frightfully old and as new as tomorrow. it's kitschy and tasteful, sometimes raunchy, often prissy. it's crowded and deafening, it's peaceful and deserted. it's all of these things and much much more. it's hong kong - a place that simply shouldn't be but is."

-from the intro to the Lonely Planet - Hong Kong

these are my travel companions -- lonely planet guidebook, a map and my camera laid out on the desk. the desk stood against the panoramic hotel room window so i was able to get natural light diffused by the sheer curtains. i feel that they deserve to be photographed for making exploring easy, interesting and for making every trip exciting and memorable.

sharpened a bit in PP and adjusted levels. hope you like it.
