[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For most tourists who wander the old streets of Edinburgh, there is no better sight than the Royal Mile for glimpsing some of the most ancient medieval and Elizabethan architecture in the United Kingdom.

On my second day in Edinburgh I thought that the side streets offered a different glimpse... more seedier and less aesthetically attractive but all the more interesting.

I don't know the name of the street....it had a very unusually dark and utilitarian look. Going downhill and looking obliquely, the street also offered a more unusual view.

My concern over this image is whether or not the protruding window sections add to the image or detract from it.

Muy buena, me encanta la luz, el angulo, es genial. Casi parece un escenario del futuro.

I like the texture and the heavy shadows. Good choice of a vertical composition.

An interesting architectural picture this, with I think, an appropriate "bass relief" style treatment. I agree with you about the photographic rewards to be found by looking behind the facade.
