A photo of Tisno, a small town in Murter island and the continent, where we spent our holiday last year. Turned the blue colours into B&W.

TISNO is a small dalmatian town on island Murter, situated half on the island, half on the mainland. Those parts are linked with 20 m bascule-bridge.

In this place, where the cliffs of the island of Murter almost touch the mainland, the first notes of beauty were inscribed half a millennium ago in the barren stones of Dalmatia. Hence, it is no wonder that visits either returns repeatedly or stays for good.

With its long and exceptionally beautiful coastline, including stunning bays and natural beaches, set against a pine forest, Tisno provides a magical vacation for its guests. One of the particulary charming things to do is to set sail in a small boat to one of the neighbouring isles.

The peaceful and hospitable people of this place, wich was once predominantly a place of hard toil, have preserved their traditions and culture despite the hardships of its history. This is testified by the churches of St.Andrew and St. Rocco (17 th centry), church of the Lady of Karavaj (18 th century) and particularly the churche of the Holy Spirit from 16th century. The remain of an ancient Christian basilicum from the 6th century and villa rustica from the 11th century were discovered near the Chapel of St. Martin (11th-12th century) only three kilometers from Tisno.

Hi Marton, nice effect, did you desaturate the image then restore colour in the lights? :)

Great photo. But i could crop out that red spot on the lower left.

Hello Marton
You've got a collection of wonderful pictures with a lot of art and style.
I don't know how you did it but it's just gorgeous!
My compliments and TFS.
Maite

Hi Marton
A Very good image. Very effective. I like the reflections and the bouy on the left. Well done.
Mike

P.S. I think that your border is too wide. A thinner border and a larger image is much better on this site with a limited size.

Hello Marton

This image is outstanding, fantastic colours and superb POV. I love the framing too it sets the image off perfectly,

TFS kindest regards Helen

Szia Marci!

A tavon a házak alatt vegyül egy kis kék bele, és ez szerintem még izgalmasabbá teszi. Ja és az a bólya is nagyon jó helyen van ott. Jól kiegyensúlyozza a képet. :)
Filip

Hello Marci,
Good counter-balance by the red buoy, as it creates dynamics in the frame!
Stunning simplicity of composition, well framed with fine details!
Greetings,
pablo -
