[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Corner of Tamaki Drive and Atkin Avenue early 1966. Scanned off an old photo along with a few others that were found lurking in the bottom of a box of photos, finally.The colours are shocking but some of them have come out reasonably.I think I was sitting on the side of the fountain, or at least there abouts for anyone interested in looking for the same view 40 years later.

Very nice scan. The colors came out very well for a picture that old.

Just like going through the memory lane by watching this 40 years old photo what Mission by was liked! I can see the Austin Morris crusing through the shop front!

Yep I know the spot.. infact my mother knew someone that lived right there next to the petrol station on the right upstairs and we would go and visit them... how neat to see this photo.. its certainly changed since then..1966 those were the good old days!!... and it was certainly alot quieter in Mission Bay in those days.

Hi Diane, what a good old photo. I'd like to go back there and take a another photo to show you the changes. One thing I know is that the trees are a LOT bigger. I remember the garage and will try and remember to look when passing next time - we were there 2 weeks ago and not sure when we'll be back.

Hi Diane. For a scanned image and a much older one surprisingly good colour and detail. I was thinking it had to be pretty old because I see a Morris 1800. I find it interesting to see an old photo and then a recent one, just to see how things have changed. Well done and TFS,
