The Image
---------
Took a photo of an abandoned shophouse some time back. Nothing really spectacular about it, its an old 2 storey building with a van illegally parked in front.

No message here, just some basic exercises in PS.

The trees were selected and desaturated.
Then the van was lassoed and the rest of the image inversely selected. poster-edging was done.
Curves were then manipulated for the colours seen.

why do all this?
An idle mind is ole red n pointy's workshop?
Ahhh....just too bloody free I guess :)

Whatever you did in the PP, it is all worth it. Like the pastel colors. The clear van blends well with the posterized background. Very good work.

The composition once again, is very strong the fact that the van has been left out of the PP work adds to the drama and excitement of this picture. It is very much alive with textures and colours that are perfect for this shot - looks like a van parked alongside a giant billboard poster :-)
Well done, good work.
