[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A day after our family lost a loved one, I did what always makes me feel better, went and took some pictures. This was after popping off a few rolls at an old gas station, two pictures left I felt the need to finish the roll on myself.

Hey Carey, sometimes a simple shot says more then words. Well done.

Great thing to do to release yourself Carey. This is a very interesting shot. One of the best self portraits I have seen here.

I will quote to you the thing I quoted to another friend here recently when she lost a loved one.

Nick Cave
"Not the end, not the end, just remember that death is not the end."

I can relate to your note Carey. Taking pictures makes me feel al ot better to. It si a great way to vent. This is another beautifull potrait of you Carey. I like they wa you look outside of the frame. It goes well with your note, searching and looking for what we can no longer see.

I love the composition, it's a strong one. I wish you lots of strength in these sad moments... Take care!
see you,
Annelies

Eyes speak a lot. Very nice shot indeed.
I would remove sharpness on the right part of the face and remove white spot in hair on the left side of the picture.

Carey, may I invite you to join us on coming Sunday making simultaneous portraits around the world! (please see details in my intro). Your contribution will be very valuable.

A good portrait with shallow DOF. Well, perhaps too shallow because you are a bit out of focus, but that's not important. Mood is, and you showed it well.
Excellent job, TFS!
Regards
