Hi Pamela,

Indeed Gare du Nord has a beutiful architecture and it's very worthy to photograph. I also know that it is very hard to capture, since the building is huge and the space around is crowded, busy and with heavy traffic.
About your image, I like the colours and the light very much. It's soft and warm. You chose a good point of view. I like perspective shots and most of the times, it's an answer to those difficult architecture ones. And they gice very good sense of depth.
However I think your frame got too tight. I feel you tried to get close to the building to get details but somehow it didn't get so harmonic. Maybe you should had used a wider angle (or sayed a bit further away), so you would had included more of the building on the frame. The details would not be so obvious, but the composition would be more harmonic. Or if you really wanted te details, you should had gotten way closer, to emphasise the small parts.

Anyway, I know when one visits a place one wants to shoot everything and our time is always too short (it happens to me all the time!!!!). So every shot has a special taste of "yeah, I got it". This is a nice capture and you did a good job! Now is to go back there and shoot it again, in a different way ;)

Take care, Stef :))
