[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday I went on a dog sled ride, for the first time in my life. It was amazing!!!

Can you imagine 180 Nordic breed dogs howling and jumping for joy the moment the guides brought out the draft-harnesses? It was a wonderful sight and feeling... I filmed the scene for a few moments, but the joy was contagious, so I had to go and play with them.
I was impressed by the strength and size of the Malamute dogs, but the weather was too warm for them, so we got Huskies for our trip. They were fast and I loved driving the slade! Yupeeeeeee!
When we entered the woods, I felt like riding a speeder bike from Star Wars (in a speed limited area ;) ) For those of you who haven't done dog sledding yet, I i suggest to give it a try, driving the slade is easy and fun.

I'm not sure how to express such a wonderful experience in one photo and most of my (few) shots are of poor quality (probably due to the excitement).
Finally, I decided to show you Phil, one of the leading dogs. On the natural "white path" of his forehead, which resembles the entrance into the grey woods, you can also see Shnersock, Ural, Kim, Boule and Drass. They are all wonderful dogs!
Of course, the sled comes from a third picture, taken when it was parked (because releasing the brake with the dogs attached would have left me in the snow... watching the sled exit the zoom range, in a few seconds).

I know it's not much of a composition, but that's what was "riding" through my mind when I looked at the photos. All kinds of suggestions and critiques are welcome.

Anton,
Such a clever idea for a photo, good idea, I like how you combined the two photos.
Good clear sharp details of the dog. This is a great capture of the dog. I like soft BG, Good composition. Good notes also, TFS

Hi Anton,
Great shot and a nice idea with the sled and other dogs, sounds like you had fun.
Thanks Andy

Ciao Anton!

Super idea!
Culorile si claritatea, excelente!
Very well done!
Lili

THAT has to be some of the best post-processing I've seen! Very very creative Toni, you are full of ideas for these photos. Your portfolio is not necessarily huge in number, but each shot shows effort, time, and creativity, and that's what I think makes a great photographer. And you are such a happy, joyful person! Hats off to you for that! The shallow depth of field and close cropping is wonderful, and the vertical framing for this shot makes a great portrait of Phil ;). That said, the composition is actually very strong. Excellent tonalities, good somewhat softer contrasts, great detail, and good job getting such a clear and sharp shot of an animal. The POV is perfect. Great tilt and angle and size for the sled and dogs above his eyes. You have such an imagination. Nice simple frame too. Beautiful and so unique! TFS!

Anton, I take a chance to write to you in french.
J'ai bien aimé ce montage. Il illustre très bien le bonheur du moment intense que tu as passé. De plus, il est très, très bien fait.
Le chein est magnifiquement photographié. De beau détails.

This is a very weird but so well done picture! Soory, no time to read the note but I think that it is very symbolic and that this god is a wise one :) Well seen :-) TFS,
Claudine
