[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a cropped pano I did for a wedding I shot in 2005. It was a beautiful day, so I suggested that we go to the beach...

Tech Stuff
Cropped image in Photoshop
Created Duplicate layer
Desaturated duplicate layer
Used eraser tool to remove desaturated Bride & Groom from duplicate layer, leaving them in colour, while everything else is B&W

It's a cool effect that is very popular. This particular photo was enlarged and framed, and hangs in the couple's home.

This works very well, Lars - the 'happy couple' are isolated from the others by virtue of the partial desaturation. Simple and effective, good job!

The only slight shame is that the girl on the left, as we look, has a hand cropped off.

But a very happy and original shot, well done!

Very happy portrait.
great colors Adjustment and nice POV,
expression so interesting here. tfs

Hi Lars,

This is perfect, everyone has a lovely expression... and the colouring choice is perfect. The pano really adds to the effect of movememnt... wonderful place to take the photos, although I bet their feet were hurting. ;)

Great image, very well composed. TFS!

Biance.

This is very nicely done. The missing hand has already been mentioned..pity...but still nice. Very good idea for making the bride and groom stand out. Love the action. Very good wedding photo Lars, I bet the couple are proud to display this. TFS Lyndon

Beautiful wedding panoramic! I especially love the energy you feel throughout, from the people's expressions to their body language, to the diagonal composition, to the wavy sand and water. Partial desat works well here, especially because it may not be so obvious that the groom is standing next to the bride.

I LOVE this shot. It's one of those ones that the Bride would call a "must take".
Great semi-candid moment.
Thanks again for your compliments on my "Wedding Photographer" photograph.

Great image Lars.
The horizon is not level but no-one seems to have cared to have mentioned it.
I llke the long line of people that fill the frame and the bride placed centrally. As well, the selective color was tastefully accomplished.

This is such a kool shot! deserves to be displayed in an art gallery!

I really like that one. It is definitively different wedding photography. Good dynamism and I like the selective colours.
TFS
Wojciech
