The darkness disappeares
She's in the Light forever
Reunited with her Maker
In front of His lovely face

Three years ago on this date I was driving to my work in the morning. My cellphone rang and a nurse told me that my mother had passed away in that night. Before I realized what had happened I turned around and went home again... Sad days with grief and mourning followed. Impressive days.

At that night I processed this image and called it 'Coming Home'. It's a photograph of a painting (I didn't make the painting myself, but I post processed the digital picture quite a bit). The picture shows a person that's coming home.
In my mother's last years she was suffering of the Alzheimer disease. She lived in mental darkness (as far as we could determine). On this picture she's going towards the Light. I believe Jezus Christ is that Light and called my mother home. He gave her a new eternal live in bright Light. She's free of pain, sorrow, diseases and death. She's alive ! At home.

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
(Psa 4:8)

Hi Mas,
Its beautiful!! It gives me a memory, that I don't want to forget! You can see the message in this photo! Great frame! Beautiful matching colours!

Hans

Beautiful photo. A nice tribute to her memory.

Thats very bold of you to have used the filter and effect to such an extent. Whatever it may mean, I simply like the outcome. The pastel hues, th tones and the textures are great and breath taking. nice innovative and bold work

A beautiful, delicate, full of taste work!
The shades, the pastel tones and a great pp make this image very special and meaningful, especially after reading your note ... sorry to hear about your loss ...
