[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On one of our hikes, my children saw this alpenmarmot (murmeltier). They stopped and called me and my wife who were at some distance behind them.
The kids remained mainly motionless and I was able to approach this animal quit close. One of the results is this picture.
This does not happen often, that one can approach an animal (in th wild) so closely.

Helo Matthijs,

Well captured. However, the light is harsh, it must have been during bright daylight... Also, the alpenmarmot is kinda lost in the frame. It does not jump to the face (as one would say).

A little bit of PP (post processing) could have helped. Just a tad of contrast maybe?

Anyway, thanks for the trouble and sharing!
