[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A floating crane in de Port of Amsterdam. The cabin you see is approx. 40 mtr above the water surface.
Floating cranes are more economic then fixed cranes. When you are finished on one ship you move the crane to another. (The finished vessel needs at least a couple of hours before it can leave.)
Another reason for moving the crane can be that the storage area is filled up. The cranes have no work until some space has come available again.
