Alda works in her garden with the pottery wheel I lugged down from New York (40 kg!).
(No time for critiquing, but if I have occasion to share a shot or two from this trip, I shall do so.)

A very nice study in creative concentration Hugh. I tried a bit of a workshop to bring out some of those nice details.

Nice portrait, but is it a little under-lit? I love the mood of course.

PS. I prefer the 1st WS.
Okay, two comments here, one about photograph and one about subject.
Photo: I love the way you've used available light here, that subtle blue edging along Alda's shoulder and arm is something I am forever trying to achieve, I really love the effect. Well done! The sharpness is perfect for your shallow depth of field, and while I suspect you could have cropped it much more closely - especially to eliminate that wall to the left - I think the composition is good too.
Second is - compliments to Alda, she brings an inadvertent(?) sexiness to her art that leaves Demi Moore's Ghost effort in the dust!
She lives in the same house as Veronica ... are they related?

Olá George,
Outra foto com um tema bem brasileiro e com uma professora bem bonita.
Uma ótima fotografia.
Parabéns.

(*) Fiz um workshop e espero que goste.
I was subbing in a pottery class a few weeks ago. This is an interesting process. TFS. Love the light and subducted beauty here, Hugh. Interesting chair angle compared with the tree and the pillar.
Nice shot Hugh, maybe a fill in flash would bring out more detail and colour.
