Salento's olive tree
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Secular olive trees look so heavy.
Their trunk bends back, twistes around its axis and, with amagical movement, uprises in the sky.
Their trunk becomes so large that is empty inside. It looks like an old man's hand... the same wrinkled lines, typical of who has been working all the life long.
You can find hundreds, thousands olive trees in Salento, the heel of Italy, but be aware that people steal them in the nights and sell them to rich people who live in Northen Italy...
I took the photo during a sunny winter day and I converted in b/w. Then I adjusted the contrast, curves and levels. I hope you like it! |

Ciao Dario!
I have seen quite some nice olive trees when we were in Italy last year.. some very old ones too.
I realy love the way they grow... you can realy tell they are very old sometimes.
As I can see in this image. This is a magnificent tree my friend.
I realy like this tree. You have made a wonderful composition, maybe a bit light in some spots, but I think this all adds to the atmosphere of your image.
I think trees like this one deserve a "medal"!
Ciao,
Anneke

ciao dario!

I like the composition of this photo plus the dreamy look. Classic, too.
Well presented!

Ciao Dario!
Salento e Olanda, pianure molto diverse...
Ciao, Antonella
