Hello Jim,
If the surfer would have been off centered to the right for example, this would have gave a much more dynamic picture that would have render better the dynamic of the scene. Also the contrast is quite low making this picture quite dull. Try reworking the levels to obtain a true black point (on the surfer's wet suit) and a true white point (somewhere on the wave).
Sorry Jim but this picture is a miss for me.
