From thumbnail as i expected some strong rain... The surprise please me a lot! Excellent work!

The blue tones as well as the repetitive, cold-looking skinny bare branches of the trees outside really do evoke a melancholy feel. But what also adds to the depressed theme is the feeling of being stuck inside, wanting to stay inside a dark space (inside yourself) and this is evoked by the POV from behind a window, the the window payne silhouetted. Excellent contrasts between the silhouette and outside, and those blue and cool tones against the black payne really do show sadness and a sort of "distorted" perception of the world outside. Only thing I'll pick on is the little pine leaf thing sticking out at the upper left, in green color, that is distracting a bit. Otherwise an excellent shot with tons of mood, great balance and composition. TFS!

Hi Jan,
Fabulous! Pure poetry! What talent, you have! Really, this splendid coloured harmony is not depressed for me. But it is a matter of feeling! An very well exploited idea! Congratulations! Annie

I love green and I realy love trees and bushes, but I would get depressed of a view like this!
WOW.

It's a real nice image Jan, I like the kind of "romantic" glow the view has.
Nice shades of blue-ish green! Lovely!

Cheers,
Anneke

Hello Jan:)
Excellent "window" work - I love it that point of view and leading colouristic blue...
That is also great composition and looking longer make me feeling of some frozen world outside like in that story of "Narnia".
Well done - congratulations:)

Hello Jan,

Beautiful look of this window, amazed with the beauty of the colors and degrade of the green going to the blue. The vegetation outside is fantastic, great capture and the frame enriches his work and so much.

Hi Jan,
I love the colors in your panes, and I thought you had treated with a gradient color filter, but the little evergreen in the upper left corner denies that.
I find the mood mysterious and thus exciting, as opposed to depressing.
I love it,
Karen

Great shot. The colors are what stand out most here. blue and black always interact beautifully with each other and this is no exception. Great detail and good framing. Though I see nothing really depressing about it...just reflective. Looking out and thinking of years gone by. For depression I guess it would have to be a bit darker for me. This blue gives me too much hope to feel sad :D. Anyway: Wonderful work! Congratulations.

Hi!!!

Hi Jan,

Remarkable job... seeing the outside beauty but being locked in the dark not being able to enter it. Very much what like depression can be like.
