[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I photographed these planes during the Spirit of Flight Airshow on April 29, 2007. Organized by the Lone Star Flight Museum and held at Galveston International Airport, it was a tribute to the Doolittle Raiders. On April 18, 1942, 80 aviators(13 Texans) flying B-25 bombers led the first American air raid on the Japanese Islands. 16 bombers, led by Lt Colonel James A. Doolittle of the US Army Air Corps, took off from the aircraft carrier USS Hornet, attacked targets in Japan then crash landed in China. These planes, I believe to be T-6 Texans, where part of the show.

Pretty nice shot you the two Texans in formation.

Hi Jim,
Warm feelings when seeing this T-6 Texan or Harvard as named in Europe. It was used as basic training aircraft in the 50's and early 60's (previous century-melenium ;)I did my first aircraft maintanece activities on this plane..marvelous. You made a great capture, nice coulers and reasonable sharp although quite a lot of noise, so I made a WS to show you how it looks without it. Anyway a fine posting my friend!

Hi Jim
My dad use to fly the Harvard in the 50s. These Harvards have a different paint job compared to the Canadian Harvard. Awesome capture though, I love going to airshows, haven't been since 2001.
I think I have a Harvard photo on TE. I love to hear the engines of these old birds. Thanks for the memories.

Hi Jim,

The point of view is showing with precision the details and colors of the Harvard aircrafts. The subject is well frame. The picture is clear and sharp. The light is enhancing the colors. have a nice day.
