I was really lucky to get this photo. Literally I just had to point and shoot. Quick draw LOL..I didnt even have time to see what settings my camera was on.
These are one of my favourite birds

Notes about fantails
Fantails mostly live on forest edges and in scrub habitats. They can often be seen in town in parks and gardens.
Fantails will usually be seen alone or in pairs during summer, but will often form flocks during the winter.
Fantails occasionally eat fruit, insects and berries, but they mostly eat insects.
Fantails are very good at catching insects in the air - they can change direction very quickly when they are flying.

Just a tiny bit soft in the focus, not bad though when you don't get a lot of time to capture these little guys.
Image would also improve if you cropped half of the space to the right of the bird.
A lovely image.
Peter.

I had one of these Fantails performing for me last weekend- they are so cute, but move so quickly!!
Cute capture, as I kow it isn't easy to do.
In photos it is often best not to have the main subject right in the centre. I have done you a WS, and I hope you like it.
