A Garden to Dream Over

This is Woodbridge, a country garden in Coatesville that is open to the public. It covers four hectares, with 10 acres of immaculate lawns and carefully planned gardens.

I have visited this place many times, and also with Dawn and Sweety, and I love to wander around the gardens as there are many interesting features including a formal vegetable garden, a croquet lawn, summerhouse and some stunning lavender and box hedges.

This is a view over pond and plants, and you can see some of the house reflecting in the water. It is a very attractive house and I like how it hides away among the trees and plants.

There are two streams that flow into the pond, which is overlooked by the house and a summerhouse that is surrounded by roses and perennials.

Don’t you just love it?

Looks magical. just love the way you have used the reflection. Can see there is a beautiful kind of order here. Well thats one place I must visit when one day we go back to NZ for a holiday... :)

Great clarity of image. And so many shades of green. Did you know that it is a biological fact that our minds through our eyes can differentiate thousands of shades of green, about 10 times if not more the number of shades in other colours that we can know and identify. :)

This is one of our favourite places isnt Janice.. its always a pleasure to go there.. we must do it again in the Spring.

A circular polarizer here would have made a lot of impact Janice.. you must get one for your new lens...

Thanks for sharing..
Cheers Dawn.

Hi Janice,
Ahhhhh... a lovely place to be, it is still no winter in NZ? I love the crispy greens in this picture, although it has a quite tight crop, particular the top side is a bit too much cut off in my opinion. Nevertheless a vivid sharp photo, with a stunning refelction. TFS!

PS-that was the first time I saw the bench, sorry no stories from me! (^-^)!!!

Hello Janice

Wonderful time we are having here. Sorry to be short, very slow connection and tooe xpensive. Quick Hi

Everytime you show us this I drool Janice. I was reading our real estate magazine on Thrusday and saw a couple of the old colonial mansions which had gardens very similar. LOvely colours and superb reflections. TFS,
David

Janice, they might only want to be nice to you. My eyes are not seeing that fantastic photograph. Only a blured and very weak composition. I might be wrong, though...
