Hi David,
My mum passed away during 1996 and I miss her dearly, too. Your image of this very beautiful Chrysanthemum is beautiful. You did well to present such a very white flower so well, congratulations. I can't read your poem at the moment, I am already shedding a tear. I will be visiting my own kids today, they are having a get together, that will cheer me up.

Hi David, beautiful Dahlia, always so pretty and colourful, even the white ones!
Yes, cherish your mother or if she has died, her memory. When our mothers are alive, we don't realise how hard it is when they go.
We've had a busy morning our with our family 16/18 of us, plus a few mothers-in-law. It is becoming a great event, and time to rest up now!!!

Thanks for the memories, I guess we all have memories of special days like this. Mine is pretty similar to yours with the flowers and church and flowers at church too...and then there is my own mothers day with my children, going to buy flowers and spending the afternoon planting them together. My mom is still alive but her mind is vague these days, shes thousands of miles away from me, my children 100's. So this mothers day I will save this photo to remind me of special days. Thanks for sharing it David. Beautiful flower.

It's a good idea to mention at least once a year the importance of mothers. We celebrate it on March 8 as International Womens Day - with some taste from the communist past...

Anyhow, your flower is very beautiful and delicate. The light and contrast are held perfectly.
