Great day yesterday, Green Baron Hans came to visit me and the swans! It is really nice to meet a friend that was all the time virtual. It is a great guy in all terms! Have a look in the workshop too. Big Baron and Little Ninix and Swan spotter Hans.

Here he is holding the poor little swan that was left behind by his parents. We were shooting pictures and discovered one was missing. I found and captured him and brought him back to the family.

The group swimming together again behind the motherswan, the light one in last position.
The end of the story is that it didn't work. It is hard being different. This was the only white one between the grey's and maybe also a bit smaller. Mother was picking him all the time. After I saw the mother stepped on him before she left the nest for a swim I caught him and took him home. Today we wanted to bring him to the birdwatchers to take care of but he didn't make it. So there are now 6 little swans and 1 egg left.

My first new swan view

I like this, Hendrik - although Hans' has his head titled down, we can make out the gentle happiness of the big fella as he tenderly holds the little bird.

Good sharpness in the main feature, but no sign of the blonde hair Hans was just telling me he has! :-)

Hoi Henk,
Je bent me voor! Ik kan 'pas' over 15 minuten mijn foto "op de bus" doen :)

Thanks my friend, it was really an honour to visit you and Corry! (Excellent stew she made :)

Outstanding picture of that little swan, the guy holding it is a bit disturbing the shot ;) Anyway, what to say, watch my posting (and note) in a minute!

Hans

Hi Hendrik,
Good images from you and the Baron. You should start holding "swanposium's"...
Take care
Regards
Chris

Helemaal leuk Hendrik - alles, hoe Hans dit pluizebolletje vasthoudt, om jullie te zien -
Wat jammer dat dit verhaal geen happy-end heeft -- maar ja, dat is de natuur.

Oh what a sad story, but, a great capture. Hans is holding the cygnet so delicately! Lovely :-) Lesley

Hi Hendrik, I'm following your's and Han's story too - and it is a sad story too. So mother picks on the weakest - maybe she knows he wouldn't be strong enoough - it is the hard cruel life in the Swan family.
Good to see you both too,
Cheers
Janice

Hi
Big Hans and the small swan. Moving view.

Ahhh he is a push-over! I knew it all along! Just get a baby cat or puppy near Hans and he turns to mush! HA! Superb shot! An incredible look of vulnerability from the great Green Baron!

Op zich leuke foto Hendrik. Ik hoop alleen dat de ouders hun verloren kind hierna nog hebben geaccepteerd.

Hello Hendrik,

The baby swan looks so small in his hand. Lucky, that Hans got this chance to hold the baby. Lovely moment captured. TFS
