| SDF, for those of you who don't know French, can mean two things....Sans Domicile Fixe (i.e. without fixed abode), or Sans Difficulté Financière (rich). At two blocks from the opulent Copacabana Palace Hotel (where there are lots of the latter), this SDF has set up "house". There are many like her in Rio, as in other big cities everywhere. At least, in Rio, however, they don't freeze to death like they do in Paris, New York or London. |
