Looking through my foto's of my short break in Barcelona last March, I came across this one and was once again stunned by the beauty of this park and the amazing work of Mr. Gaudi... I think the whole park is just magical, and it's one of the places in this world that really has a special place in my heart!
I hope this photo gives you an idea of it's beauty,
Have a nice day,
Ciao,
Bianca
**Park Güell is a 17,18 ha wide garden complex with architectural elements situated on the hill of el Carmel in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, Spain. It was designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and built in the years 1900 to 1914. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Works of Antoni Gaudí".
**Antoni Gaudí i Cornet (25 June 1852 – 12 June 1926) – sometimes referred to by the Castilian translation of his name, Antonio Gaudí – was an architect from Catalonia who belonged to the Modernisme (Art Nouveau) movement and was famous for his unique style and highly individualistic designs. Using the trencadís technique, Gaudí often decorated surfaces with broken tiles.
**Trencadís (Catalan language) is a type of mosaic created from broken tile shards. The technique is also called pique assiette.
The Catalan architects Antoni Gaudí and Josep Maria Jujol used trencadís in many projects, among which Barcelona's Park Güell is probably the most famous.
The effect of thousands of brightly-colored patterns dancing together under the Mediterranean sun to create a larger image is both striking and joyful.

Very nice! Good point of view.. you did well by taking this picture from this perspective. I like the colours and the depth that is in this picture because of the curly lines of the bench coming in from the left side and going out of the picture on that same side again.
Good work sweety
