Carving just before a jump

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
One of the first places I took my (then new) camera was Petten. I was out looking for a sculpture that used to be there a wind organ. Dissapointment that it was no longer there soon passed as there were kite surfers on the water. Unfortunately that day , the shots weren't that good and I have returned many times looking for these guys to try to take more photos. Yesterday they were out in force at last.
Image was shot with a 70-200 f2.8 IS lens , which is really a great lens for this kinda thing, though i would have like a little more reach at times. The only downside is that after about an hour , hour and a half of panning and following these guys zipping around on the water, you really start to notice the weight of this lens, it kills.
These guys are fast and small on the water which makes it quite hard in combination with the weight of the lens to follow them and keep them in focus. (at least for me :))
Anyway, hope you like it, and more to follow, arials etc.

Hi Colin,
An action packed photo, very well taken! Great compo and POV despite your heavy lens. I love the water and the concentration on this 'dudes' face.
Congrats with this one and thanks for sharing! Cheers, Bianca.
Hi Colin
A fine shot of a kite surfer
It takes some time and tele to get this type of photos
But if you have them they are great
