[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this monster out beach combing - it is the roots of an ancient old growth tree sticking up out of the sand. It reminded me of the Czech horror film "Little Otik." While I am usually pretty conservative with post-processing, I did a great deal of shadow burning and even some painting to get the desired effect with this one.

Another beautiful nature abstract. Very crisp and sharp to show all the details and textures of the warped and slightly splitting wood to give the shot more impact. I like the use of the black background to make it pop out and to really emphasize the womb-like nature and form of the wood. Where did you find this wood? And is the background post-processed? Excellent framing that touches the edges to focus on what's inside the "womb" and great neutral colors. Excellent contrasts and tones too. I wish the shot was uploaded a little larger for me to really get a sense of detai. I wish there was some sort of note. By the way, what happened to all your other lovely shots that were in your gallery? Beautiful, TFS!
