An azalea bush in Wellsville NY. It was such a beautiful vision driving by I had to stop and get some pictures to share with you all.

Rhododendron (Zeelandia Mollis Hybrid Azalea)

The Mollis hybrids were developed in Belgium and Holland from original azalea seeds from Japan. They are derived from crosses between R. japonicum (Japanese azaleas, formerly A. mollis) and R. molle (Chinese azaleas, formerly A. molle). Tall, upright, deciduous shrub that is cold hardy down to -10 degrees F. Leaves are obovate to oblong, medium green, 2 to 4 inches long. Orange or red flowers are borne in large, showy trusses in mid-spring just before the leaves emerge. The deciduous hybrid azalea, like it's native counterpart, is known for excellent fall color and unsurpassed spring flowers. The deciduous azalea is usually less picky about soil conditions, though it too prefers well-drained and acid conditions. Though azaleas have a potentially large list of possible pest and disease problems, they are usually trouble free if planted correctly in proper cultural conditions.

I resized, increased saturation and sharpened slightly, ran the photo through Neat Image to soften the lines, pasted it back into the original to retain the photo information, added a clear frame and signature.

I hope you enjoy it. Another view is in the workshop.

Superb photo with very nice composition of a nice sharp crispy image.
The creator of the nature must have been super minded to create all that, normally with a human eye we can't see those details that sometimes camera show us as an example your photo...
Thank you for putting my attention more into nature exploration. Shortly I will be updating my experience too.
Please do continue showing such beautiful photos.
Thanks very much indeed.

What a wonderful looking Rhododendron Linda. I like the different tones that are present. The choice of frame is good too. Very nice indeed.

Debbie
