Hi everybody! And I've always been a fan of the big red safari sun. So here's my take on it from my arctic country. =)

I'm keen to know what people think about this kind pseudo symmetry. Is it too simple? Too complex? Too much negative space? Are the colours working?

PP: To pull this off, the really tough thing was to contain detail everywhere (having neither blowouts nor ink black shadows). And since I didn't bring my tripod, I wasn't able to create an HDR. But I think it came out well thanks to the RAW conversion.

Hi Johan, superb and well executed. Very nice !

Take care, Yan :)

I think you pulled it off and achieved a great result even without the tripod. Great colours and nice detail.

I like the simplisity of the photo and I think it works well. I think I would have left more space under the sun.

You probably know this, but since you're shooting in RAW you can convert 3 different exposures from the same file and generate a HDR based on a single RAW file.

Cheers,
Jens

Hi Johan!
It's a nice sunrise - a bit threatenning but interesting... Original placement of the son in the lower half of the photo.

I have the feeling i miss something with the Raw mode... I can pass my that way... I remember i find the files bigs... But... When we see something like that.... I believe it deserve it!
