O nome popular dessa flor é 'pata-de-vaca', há muitos outros nomes como: árvore orquídea,bauínia, em inglês brazilian orchid-tree, e espanhol pezuña de vaca ou pesña de vaca, além de muito bonita também é usada na medicina no tratamento de várias doenças, há também variação de cor!!!
