This was an experimental shot that turned out nicely.
As the sun was getting low in the sky, I clambered down the embankment and set up the camera and tripod near the water trickling out of the dam's spout.
Turned on the ND filter, set ISO low (to 50), set file format to RAW, dial to T-mode, and shutter to 2-second delay.
Set shutter to 4 seconds, aperture to ƒ7.1, adjusted camera angle and zoom to include several streams of water, then pushed the shutter release and waited.
I particularly like the way the lower stream winds and wends its way over the rock. As well, every small leak in the dam appears prominent. |
