[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sophienhof Estate in the north-east of Schleswig-Holstein, the Baltic Sea around the corner. This is the place I've grown up, the classical youth on the countryside with hot summers with swimming and riding along the coast as well as long winters with ice-skating on the frozen lakes or taking a ride with the sleigh. And spending hours on the bike or in the bus to go to school ...
The manor was erected in 1825, rebuilt after a fire in 1875 and since then nearly unchanged. To the right and the left of the cobblestoned road are the former stables and machine shops. In its prime counting 1.500 hectares, daddy nowadys has some 400 hectares under the plough left, mostly grain, no animals my two horses. (My brothers and sisters left some yrs ago, it's me the pet of the family who still rides them)
Think I gonna miss it when leaving in autumn for university...

Cheers,
Rieke

Ach nee, da schau her. Das ist ja beinahe um die Ecke ;-)

The snail's level view is funny here and shows a bit the dimensions of your home, Rieke. Composition itself in halfs is calm and peaceful, matches the note given.
Good work, good work.

Gruß aus der Landeshauptstadt,
Hauke

Sehr schönes Bild, Rieke.
Ich kann verstehen, daß Du etwas wehmütig bist, diesen Ort verlassen zu müssen. Wo wirst Du denn studieren?
