It's a great shot. I thought was from Alper when seeing the thumbnail. Not many birds flying free in my country, and only at bird park I can take freely and easily.

Absolutely a great pic of godwit, everything is in order. twinkle in the eye, very nice BG and well focused. the more important about this pic is taken with 300 mm. coz the bird pics mostly taken with 400 mm or more.
I love this pic. And very glad about the nice words in your note.

Beautiful little bird John...not sure if we have these in my neck of the woods or not...have never seen them but I must say I have discovered lots of new birds this season.
The square crop works well here, looks like your lens got you plenty close enough.
