Another posting from Averill Park in San Pedro, Ca. I don't know if the use of light and shadow work in this photo. Your comments will be appreciated.

Hi Gary, very nice subject and idea for a photo. You've captured the reflection of the bridge on the water well and the colors are nice and natural. You asked about the light and shadow, so here goes: I think the shadows are rich and beautiful, but the light itself has really caused the left half of the bridge as well as the leaves on the trees, and that can be very distracting and also take away from the tonalities, details, and textures of the elements. Now, I know that the bridge was supposed to be the focus of the shot but I find there is too much negative space above the bridge, with the trees distracting from the main subject a bit too much. Try to include, instead, more of the reflection of the bridge if you ever visit this bridge again. Also try to not let in distracting elements like the woman at the left edge, because she's breaking up the continuity of the shot. Otherwise a great shot with very beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing and keep shooting ;)
