[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Decided to go boating to beat the heat this weekend... Unfortunately the self rowing ones were not available so had to hire this one. They come with Rowers (I hope I got the word right :P) and this person here in the picture was our man!

He was more than happy that I took his photo, though I don't know how he will react if he found out what I have done to it... :D

PP:
1. Resized
2. Converted to Greyscale
3. Brightness/Contrast adjusted
4. Framed

Hope you like it.

Enjoy!

Congrat!
I like your BW shot!
:-)
But I dont like your frame!
;-)

Hi Varun, very interesting shot here. I've never seen anyone use this type of post-processing to blow out the highlights, so that the hair or top of the head is gone to blend in with the white background. Great in black and white to give heavy contrasts and to really make certain contours and features pop out. I love his pose and expression, he is a natural model ;) Great point of view just barely below his eye-level so that he seems grand and dignified. I do wish though that we could see the top of his head, because this way it feels kind of, incomplete. Very good though with that bold white frame with the thin black line to pick up on the tones in the shot, TFS!

Hi Varun;great black/white a job,good sharp and good composition....
Habema.
:-]

overexposure... good

overexposed overexposure in black and white..... very kubrick!!!

I enderstand he was happy to see that... I find the effect terribly strong for the contrast. So as he look strong the treatment fit very well :)
Nothing... Just white and the base of the details who make him recognizable very well! Great work!

I like the treatment of high key in mono. Well done Varun.
