First of all I would like to thank each and every one for taking a look at and those who did wrote their wonderful commens on my previous uploads.
Much appreciated!

It looks like this Polar Bear is begging the woman inside the Tundra Buggy for a close-up shot and she did'nt let that great change go :)
The bottom rim of the window is about 10 feet of the ice the bear is standing on, so you can imagine how big these animals can become.
This is a ful grown bear, but certainly not one of the biggest overthere.

Every year early winter between 8 and 9 hundred polar bears are gathering around Churchill, called "Polar Bear Capital of thr World".
They all are waiting untill the ice on Hudson Bay is strong enough to go out on the ice and catch some seal for dinner.
Most of them did'nt eat anything for 6 months and believe me, they are hungry and also nead food to gain some fat to come through the very cold winter.

I did travel over the tundra on board one of these so called Polar or Tundra Buggies for 4 days and it has been real fun to see all those wonderful animals.
Thanks in advance for viewing and critiques.
Warm regards, Harry

Hi Harry,

Nice moment capture. The photographers always think that the beers ask for a picture and we catch them ;) But actually the Beer translators told us that they say: MEAT PLEASE ;). The translators were never beleived till the day in USA a Grizzly beer killed a Video Camera Man.

So for the pictures take risk only if you believe that this will be shot that no one in life could ever take and if you will die after this shot you will be remembered always but the community(NEVER HAPPENS).So if you can take a shot hundred times dont get your life in to trouble.

But for this shot good security vehicle used and Well captured.

TFS.
With best regards,
Muhammad Usman Ali

Great capture! You really caught the moment, and the exposure is perfect. Congrats.

Hi Harry.
I think Churchill, apart from Antarctica, is No.1 on my wish list of places to go just for this reason, ever since I saw a documentary about the place. Great capture. Very beautiful. Well done.
Regards, Steve.

Hello Harry!

Glad you liked your buggy experience!
Did you bring home a T-Shirt from Churchill ?

Loved to see that model stating ,
PARIS
LONDON
ROME
TOKYO
CHURCHILL ( or something close to that LOL!)

The sad thing these days with the Global warming , many polar bears are dying as there is not enough ice in the Bay . They are simply exausted aas they cannot find ice ,and get some rest, when they are crossing.

I have sailed five years in the Hudson Bay and Straight supplying the villages. It was a lot of work, but a fantastic experience.

Thanks for this fun post .
Robert

A very entertaining photo, well captured. Did you do some post processing on this one (e.g. sharpening) ... I notice that the background on the left has gone a bit strange (not that this is enough to detract from the rest of the picture!). Nice photo.
