| This is the photo of a beautiful Hotel in Prince-Edwards-Island in Canada across a lake at the beginnig of a sunset. The reflection of the hotel and of the trees around it is very precise in the water below it. Too bad the image is a little dark and there are some spots on it... |

Welcome to TrekLens Kristina. This is a lovely view of the hotel and lake. The composition and colours are good. The slight tilt on the horizon can be easily fixed in Photoshop, also the white spots. I did a workshop for you to explain what I mean.
Hi Kristina,
Nice image. I really like the reflection of the sky in the water; so peaceful, it's like a mirror. But, I agree with you, the image is a little dark. I think mostly that is due to composition. If you had moved the camera a little to the right, a lot of the dark area on the left would've been eliminated. The house is dead center and that's not too good (avoid the center when possible). The other things like the spots and such can be removed with a little post processing. I've done a ws on your image; cleaned it up, straightened the horizon, changed the composition a little bit, and adjusted the brightness. But, I can't post anymore today. I've met my limit on workshops. So, I will be back tomorrow to post my version.
Today is "tomorrow," so, I'm here to post my workshop. Though, I see Diana has beaten me to a ws. But, my ws is still different from her version, so, I will be happy to post so you can see another point of view.
Thanks so much for posting this image. I see you are really here to get comments and critiques!
Welcome to TL!
Richard

Welcome to TL, Kristina. And you were lucky to run into a great teacher straight of. I saw your phot and thought, here is material for an all-out workshop, and then Diana had already performed it. Hope you have fun and learn a lot around here.
