I hope you guys aren't sick of seeing shots of marine iguanas yet?! They are such amazing creatures I thought they deserved a few shots showing...
This is a close up of his face to show the textures on his skin! So rough and gnarly - looks like he could do with using a good face cream :)
I think their big lips make them look like they're smiling!!
I adjusted the saturation a little on his face as he was a bit washed out...

Hello Kat,
A pleasant close-up with good details!
I like the tight framing as the focus is on the portrait of this special fellow...
Interesting capture indeed, only thing I miss is some sort of scaling!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Great to see a close up now. Very sharp, nice crop and good light.
Nicely done
David

Saludos Kat

Hi Kat,
Great closeup, a jurassic park kind of shot, the only thing is it seems a little grainy maybe the ISO was high or maybe you enlarged slightly too much, other than that it's great.

Pensei que os dinossauros estivessem extintos, ou so existissem no filme Jurassic Park. :-)
Dá pra ver os detalhes e a expressão dele. Um belo close.

G'day from Down Under Kat,
This is a stunning "Close Up"...you don't mention what focal length you used. LARGE I hope, don't think I'd like to get too close to him.
Regards,
Peter.
PS; Thanks for your comment on Peek-a-boo.
Peter.

Hi Kat
Amazing photo, Nice and clear with a blured background. Very nice I just think that the iguana is right in front of me.
Regards
Flemming

O Kat i love this bugger! It's so darn ugly!
Have fun,
JD

hi Kat
that a great shot
dont they use "botex" for their lips?
beautiful pic
David

Nice closeup which really captures the texture of his(her?) skin so well. There are some artifacts in the background - high ISO or picture cropped and enlarged? Minor niggle on what is a great picture
Thanks for sharing
Mark

Great close up! I'm curious about what camera and lens you used. Do you mind sharing? The only minor flaw I see is a little noise in the background.

Best regards,

Rob

aunque no me gustaria encontrarme frente a este animalito, la foto esta muy bien. Me ha llamado mucjo la atencion.

saludos

wow you caught the texture. Nice composition too.

Nice one Kat!

Hi Kat
Impressive detail. I guess one either loves or hates these guys. Reminds me of that classic film "The creature from the black lagoon." :-) Great photo Kat, good clarity of detail, DOF, POV and metering.

I have never visited South America, when I do I intend to include the Galapagos Islands.

Congrats on a superb posting. TFS on TL.
