This was taken almost 10 years ago at the San Diego Zoo. I've always wondered how flamingos manage with their twig legs. I think they are beautiful though. Flamingos are found in Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, and the Caribbean area. Wild flamingos are sometimes seen in Florida, but they do not naturally nest in the United States - which is why we visit the zoo :-)
This is a scanned image from an old photo. It was my first time running it through neat image, so I'm learning. I ran it through once, then sharpened and adjusted contrast. After I prepared it for the web, it added some noise again so I ran it through Neat Image again. I think it helped but my moniter is not the best so I'll find out at work tomorrow where my computer is better :-) - working hard or hardly working?? |

Very nice. The DOF is great. It's a bit dark in the background, but the flamingos are a great color. Well done.

Funny! They do look like lawn ornaments!
Composition is okay. I can not really give you a critique because the image is 10 years old, and I know your shooting style must be different now. However, your pp work looks decent. Though, there are some areas in the back, in the shadows, that lost some detail, maybe from the scan or from Neat Image. Good shot at pp work, though.
