Wonderful shot, Dawn -- so much going on. I do feel the matchbox car effect. I was also immediately drawn to those wispy clouds and deep blue sky. Really solid, nice composition -- the levels of color and reflection in the water, and the texture of the sand also add stylish touches.

Love your picture Dawn - you really live in a great place.
I know those kind of machines and if the beach is closed to the public then they look like dinky toys indeed - in Holland the beach and dunes are essential for protection and there are always places where there is work to be done.
Glad you managed to catch a few seagulls while making this picture.

Yeah the tractor definitely look like a toy, but the sky look more like blue ice cream with ripples of vanilla ;-) Well composed image with excellent colours. You have an interesting image because of the what the tractor is doing on the beach. It seem that they take very good care of the beaches there. Thanks.

Amazing cloud formation. It's like hand painted on the sky. Very well captured and composed in horizontal format. Yes, I thought it's a toy. Those people are very concern about environment.

Wow, lovely saturation and metering here - I don't know if an earth mover has ever had a more flattering portrait! Stunning setting with the familiar shape of the Coromandel just visible in the far distance.

I still can't believe the size of that digger compared to the seagull on the beach and the tracks in the foreground - it looks tiny. Are sure you have not been taking Advanced Photoshop classes.
Super shot and I am sure thats a great job driving up and down the beach in a matchbox digger

A Great shot of the scraper on the beach...
They are like big tonka toys in a big sand pit and lots of fun to play with (operate).
I love the colour of this one against the blue sky, white clouds and brown sand.... Great capture

What a wonderful playground! The tractor looks like a Tonka (toy for children).

Bonjour Dawn,

me, I think that it's a beautiful yellow toy which you want I kept a heart of child, I'm a girl but I played more the small miniature cars than with the headstocks.
What a vast landscape!
I like much the various sets of lines, that of the horizon, that of the scum of the waves, that traced by the truck in sand and that with the oblique of the others formed by the fine clouds in the blue sky.
The whole gives a great photography, cheer!

This is great, the orange of the truck stnads out brilliantly on the beach, very sharp and nice colouring through-out, and that sky is the icing on the cake. Great work Dawn!!
