Maybe not what you'd expect from me. I've been waiting for the opportunity to take a somewhat scary photo and posting it. The basic thing here is the unknown, the mystery.

pp: increased contrast, decreased brightness, added black frame. That was all.

Great compo, great atmosfere, great shoot!

Hi Adelicia,

Presented in B&W creates more scary photo. The uncertainty, due to only one foot trail, where is the other and the next? . . Mystery as well the unknown. Well done.

Tfs,

Hola Adelicia
Es realmente impactante. Las luces, las sombras, los blancos y los negros transmiten la sensación que tu dices: misterio y desconocido.
Realmente una gran foto.
Enhorabuena.

hello Ade
don't know exactly what's going on in this scene, so indeed : mystery !
weird too !!
interesting, and different
makes me thinking about a place where something bad happened...
regards
jo

Awww, I had been hoping you would have moved to the mid-Atlantic or at least the east coast of the U.S. ;P Haha, oh well. This DOES look really scary! I love the black and white and the use of those rich tones and contrasts to create a dark and eerie atmosphere. The use of the low point of view, looking straight above the floor, and the narrow vertical cropping really makes this mysterious and emphasizes the wet (bloody?? :O ) footprints on the floor, coming towards the viewer. Excellent too the thick black frame added to the sides to emphasize the darkest tones of the shot (good balance between the very dark footprint in the immediate foreground and the dark shadow in the background) and to create balance and unity. It also brings out this unique cinematic effect. The lighting used is superb, with a brighter spot near the upper right, how did you get that kind of lighting? Good focus and detail, I might have gone for a slightly longer depth of field by closing up the aperture just a tiny bit more, but this looks amazing. So glad to see posts from you again!

this great black shadow on the floor is full of mood (is it blood?).. not really a scary shot... but sure richs of mood..
b&w is necessary and donates the right atmosfere..
