[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of my leopard geckos, Rugziel. Rugziel is currently pregnant (the father being my male gecko, Geico), and i'm hoping she'll lay eggs soon, but she has laid eggs 3 other times and the eggs failed to hatch, so if 3rd time isn't a charm, let's hope fourth is. Leopard gecko eggs come in clutches of 2-3, though, in the wild, zero to one of the eggs survive.
Leopard Geckos, Eublepharis Macularis, are found in Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Western India. Leopard Geckos can range from a almost white-yellow-blue with black spots to a common yellow-orange with black spots. Hatchling Leopard Geckos will have the same coloration as adults, but instead of spots, they have bands which will separate and become spots as they grow older.
Unlike most Geckos, leopard geckos have true eyelids, and do not have toe pads so they can climb vertical surfaces.

the saturation was natural.(couldn't use flash in case it hurt her eyes)
I fixed the shadows.
I filled in the corner with black
(yes, i know, the black job is very sloppy)

Hello Asharah,
A lovely little animal with a cute background story!
If I were you I'd try flash next time, unless that will disturb Rugziel...
Image is well composed, and details will also improve with better light!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Asha, we have some geckos living in our garden hothouse but they are nowhere near as pretty as this one. Very good focus and fine colour. By the way how can you tell them apart? TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Dunsborough Beach I’...and have fun with the drawing :)

A little harshy the cut in black but we see it just as you mention it but the way it is fit well with those concentrate concentration of circles!
The tone are terribly in orange and red too! I believe the tones is probably influenced perhaps even on the gecko! If you want to make the line of delimitation mostly smooth, you can just tike the smudge tool, it look like a pointing finger on Photoshop... Just pass your finger over it and with a low level of pressure... It will make it smouth... But here inn that compo i find it good as i said :)

Hi Asha,
Lucky gecko, she has a very cushy life! Very interesting notes I never realized there were so many different kinds of gecks, we just have 'glass geckos' here, you can see all of their internal organs which I find rather interesting.
Good luck with the eggs, I hope they all hatch.
I think she is posing for you, or waiting to be fed, lol! She is very pretty, very good clarity, colors and composition, thanks for sharing,
Fran

Hi Asharah,
ahhh cutie, my son had a leapard gecko too his name was onyx, as lizards go he was pretty friendly, unlike the 10 others he had! cute shot of the lizard , yeah the black is a bit messy though. TFS
Donna:o)

Though the picture is a little "soft", I really do like the lighting and colors, as well as the angles and curves. The gecko seems to pop out. Nice job!

Nice notes Asharah!
Nice composition and perspective!
About your pregnant Gecko my fingers are crossed!

Cheers!
Elton

Cool story, and I hope it works out this time.
For the background, you could have used a blur brush on the edges, maybe even a gradient tool instead of the plain black. But then again, I don't know what software you have....Here is my WS, hope you like it!
Cheers
Otto
