[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The valley of Dentdale takes its name from the village of Dent.
The Dent Fault runs along the valley, marking a geological boundary between the carbonferous limestone of Deepdale and the Craven Dales to the south and the older Silurian rocks of the Howgill Fells to the north.

The world famous Settle Carlisle Railway cuts across the top of the dale at Dent Head.

Hello Mark,
You rendered this beautiful landscape in a very powerful way. Colours, as well as the play of light and lines, even provide for a dramatic touch. Impressive...

What a landscape! So brilliant colours, so lovely composition!

contrast looks a bit over done but the light really makes a dramatic effect. bl/wh might look better.

Hi Mark,
Lovely shot, lot's of my favourite colour and the light and shadow is very good.
You just want to follow the road and get into the hills.

Hi Mark,
You really used the light to its fullest. It illuminated some of the landscape beautifully and made the shadows of the clouds become more prominent. Your PP work which is visable more in the FG then BG gives the photo a kind of dreamy feel.
TFS,
Niek

The compo, the colours, ...
it's all a joy for the eye !

May I please ask which PP steps you use to get the slightly soft look in several of your postings. Thanks in advance. Karin

Fantastic looking James Harriott country Mark!

The road does it for this photo. It seems to fuzz out as it disappears into the shadowy hills.
