Hi Tim,

I really like the long shadow rock in the forefront created. But what looks totally amazing here is the sky, did you do any post-processing on it? The image is really interesting and has lots of points of interest.

for a few secs I thought this was two pics in one, but looking at the full size..... WOW!
This is one I'd hang on my walls... definately!

Hi Tim, very dramatic location, i'd be in photographers heaven on this beach. Great foreground, middle-ground and back-drop, very sharp and very well exposed. If you live near this beach is it possible for you to get there at sunrise/sunset, nothing wrong with the lighting here but i'd love to see a sunset from here. Excellent work mate!

A beautiful shot Tim, I feel as if I am there!The atmosphere is conveyed so well.
An unusual POV,the light is fantastic creating some high spots and shadows.

hey Tim
a great idea in the PP on that beautiful photo but something don't works IMO
the sky looks great, very dramatic, then you see the land under it, nice too, and it seems to belong to the same photo, then the foreground, yes, good transition, BUT between the sky and the big rock on the right with too much satured grass, there is a big difference and it looks like a stitch of two pics that don't suit together well (sorry if my english is a bit weird)

This is captivating! It has a mystical feel to it, almost as if a dragon could fly by any second. The clarity in the foreground contrasts with the haze/mist in the background along with the amazing sky. I can see why the rock has it's name

I really like this picture. The detail, contrast and colors of the foreground are incredible, but the background is magical. Every detail of light, shadow, clouds and fog are exactly where it should be.

Unbelievably romantic and beautiful! If this were painted, the artist would be accused of having too much of a vivid phantasy! What I like particularly is the shape of the rocks in the fg echo the large subject at center, leading the eye.

Hello Tim, very nice image! may I ask what PP you've carried out here? The misty spray and the sky give a fantastic mood. My only suggestions would be to get rid of the footprints in the foreground and a slightly higher POV would have given more separation between the left foreground rock and the outcrop in the sea. Lovley image.

Missed this wonderful one. But your beach scenes are all spectacular ! In fact I would qualify you , my favorite beach bum (^_^). You have a wonderful area, and you certainly make us all envious to visit this gorgeous place.

Effective PP job , replacing the sky. I am not surprised 5 members already chose this one as a favorite.

Just spotted the beach on my Kiwi guide. This one is really close to Auckland !

The substitute sky works wonders. It's wind-torn look matches nicely with the spume thrown up by the sea's action against the rock. The patch of sun hitting the rock is a real bonus. Maybe the foreground is slightly oversharp? Then again it may be my (laptop) screen.
