[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's been a while ;)
Tonight's total lunar eclipse from eastern Australia. The photo was taken around the time of the central eclipse, hence the red tones on the moon. I am puzzled by the blue sphere that appears to the upper right on all of my photos. It looks like a planet up close (sphere)... any ideas???
Cheers,
Chris

Good Lunar shot, excellent presentation but i'm not sure what the blue sphere is, if it's on all your images maybe it's a dead pixel, but not really sure.

The 'Blue thing' is a star, Carl took a string of shots about the same pov as this last night and there were plenty of stars out trying to get into the act too. Another shot aimed more at the stars delivered lots of'blue things'. Nicely captured

great shot nice exposure

Hi Chris

I caught a shot too using the same size lens, same ISO, but on a Canon 400d ... your shot came out better. Heck, maybe I've got the wrong camera!!

Outstanding work, a beautiful shot of this event.

Wonderful Image! I really like this one, with red tones and the little stars. For the blue sphere, I am not an expert, but I heard it could be Venus. Effectively, As you look at the moon when it rise, the nearest & brightest star you can see is Venus. But as I said, I am not an expert...;-) (Did you know each stars has its own colors?)

Cheers!
