[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This happened last weekend. I recognized a loud and strange, hard breething sound in the late afternoon that our dogs usually don't have in their repertoire.
When I looked out of the window I recognized two hot air balloon drifting very slowly just about 10 meters above the roof of our house. When they crossed the street I saw that the sound came from the gasfire they used to reach a higher altitude.
I adjusted levels here heavily. Although the houses on the original shot were dark already I had to splitt balloons and sky from the foreground in order to achieve the black look. I then increased contrast and darkened the houses.

Hi Thomas,
nice crisp silhouettes - good PP
The gentle colour gradient in the sky looks very clean.
Well done.
Best regards, Daniel

Hello Thomas,
This is a fine composition and interesting subject, and a nice note to go with it!
Amazing clarity of colours in the balloons, and they contrast well with the dark silhouettes!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Salut Thomas,
Comment vas-tu ?
Bien vu d'avoir accentué le contre jour. Les ballons n'en ressortent que mieux !
Bonne journée

Hi
Nice colors...
Nice silhoutte...
Greetings from Montenegro...

Hi Thomas,
A scary story, 10 meters above your roof a hotair balloon isn't really make you feel comfortable :-) Well you captured is very good, the silhoutes are fine contrasting agains the blue sky and colourful balloon. The slant og the walls is a bit distractive though in my opinion and the black silhouettes a a bit to large compared with the sky. Made a WS to show a different crop. Nevertheless a fine posting and I add it to my hotair balloon theme.

Hi Thomas,
A peaceful image of the two hot air balloons. How looks can lie, the people in those balloons must have been really worried they would hit a roof or snag a TV aerial.
You did well to calmly take their photo, and do such a good job.
Kind regards,
Pete.

interesting
maybe too much dark part in the frame and i would have walk one feet on the right if you know qhat i mean
good idea
regards
jo
