A self portrait, I will get adventurous one day and use the timer on the camera. Camera balanced on my knees and aimed at the reflection in the shop window. I actually only took 3 photos before I achieved this.

My contribution to the freaky thing, can someone add it please, I wouldn't know how :)

PP Work...darkened, cropped, added border and resized. I did consider cloning the red patches out of my hair but decided this was freaky enough.

“I'm not going to change the way I look or the way I feel to conform to anything. I've always been a freak. So I've been a freak all my life and I have to live with that, you know. I'm one of those people.” ~ John Lennon

Good morning David

Cool Idea for the shot, the lighting is interesting here. Have added it to the theme although I dont think you look freaky :-)

TFS regards Helen

I think you'll still be loved when you're old and grey, but not if you're old and grumpy, David!!
These shop windows are good to get a self-portrait - not too clear, but clear enough... I think I would recognise you if I saw you David -you're still similar to your intro page photo - but I think the hair is longer now...
Good one!
Janice

PS What are you doing posting at night?

I agree with Helen -- there is nothing freaky about you, just about the lighting!
Great composition

Hi David,
OK you freaked out as well :-)
Boy what a freaky selfportrait, can be use as vermin repellant :-)
Excellent contribution to Helen's theme.
Have a great freakless weekend!
Hans

Man, like looking in a mirror :-).
Excellent capture. Not all that freaky (I think).
Or maybe we have to see this as a ghost version of you.
TFS
Pierre

MAN!! You remind me of someone ...is it Nick Nolte??? I really DIG the long hair! You must be an old hippie from back in the day! Believe me, we had those pasted "flower child" flowers on our toilet seats!! Nice experiment and PERFECT for Freaky Friday!

David,
Perhaps you should re-title this "Touch of Grey" because even though your quote is from Lennon, for a moment, I thought of the reincarnation of Jerry Garcia! :)
I like this image. Are the seasons changing there? I noticed the "new season garment" sign in the window!
I forgive the sun glare here, after all...it was "freaky Friday".
Well done,
Scott

Hi David...
What a cool way to present a self portrait!
I wonder what the shop owner was thinking! Lol

Tricia

Hilarious, David! When I'm 64? Old Paul McCartney tune, you're probably too young to remember though! ;) TFS.

Bonsoir David,
Nice presentation of you on a Freaky Fridays, good looking guy and presentation of you. Great..
Michel

Hello David,

The more I look at this, the more I remember self portraits by artists! This definitely looks more like a painting than a photograph! I think the lighting creates this effect!

What an interesting way to photograph yourself! I think you should frame it and start a family portrait gallery for future generations!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Fine self-portrait David. There is no need to describe yourself as a freak (as your quotation goes). The most important thing is to be at peace with the way you are, something that is not quite easy to accomplish.
Regards,
Tibi

Good morning David,

Beautiful visual David in the reflex of the window, interesting that she was middle to middle.
I liked his experimental one and portrait.
You have a beautiful Stampa .
Congratulations for that.

:)

Yep this works for Friday - Interesting way to achieve the "frightful" image. I agree with the first line of your John Lennon. not sure of the rest.

Thanks for the continued visits to road trip - appreciated.

Hi David,
An interesting effect for a portrait . . . great detail plus special effects everywhere except the eyes . . . that's the "freaky" part for me.
Regarding the hair: My husband hasn't cut his hair since March, after wearing it VERY short for a couple of years. Everyone seemed to feel free to comment and voice their opinions--negative or positive, and he took it like water off a duck's back, and yet if he had told some of them what he thought of their hair, they would have been offended! End of story, it's now about the length of yours in this shot; I love it, freaky or not.
Take care,
Karen

Hi Dave,
Great idea for a self-portrait. You look old, gray and wise! Defintly not freaky.
Sunil

No, not freaky, dear David. And grey, yes, but not old. My im-pression from your ex-pression is that you must be a very kind, warm-hearted guy. So, despite a few technical flaws, the photo - is good, because it translates that well! TFS your reflection of your self-portrait.
Cheers, Cordelia :)))

PS: Thank you for your comment on 'The lizard beauty and the lily'!

Hi David, very well done and a good addition to the theme! Freaky with the reflection on you.

Well done! Take care, Yan :)

Ps: many thx for your crit on "Woodscape" :)

Hello David!
It's MUCH more that one can see, than just a self portrait - it's life philosophy. I do not want to ask about that rope-like object above your head. I can only say that both man and portrait are just GREAT.
Anton

I am intrigued that you used this reflection in a window. I can relate to the title, but hey, you got more hair than me! Artistic choice with some strange light effects, as if visiting from another dimension.
Cheers
Otto

Hello David,
Yours tried with the camera succeeded to you. Good details, contrast and colors. Excellent self portrait.
Greetings.

Hello Nick nolte
I do agree with John, it could be so :-) Fun remark
Good self Dave
Rob

Hi David, Good to see a larger version of a very talented guy. Your misty river scenes are always a favorite of many of us fellow trekkers. Good notes. All the best. Murray.

Hi David, nice to meet you - this is so not freaky that someone should have stopped you adding it to the theme (or maybe not offer help in adding it).
Well maybe for you it was; better let others be the judge of what they see.
When women age, they age, when men age they are becoming much more interesting and (IMO) even more attractive. It really is not fair - I see a very attractive portrait - amazing that you did not see the same.
Thanks for sharing it!

Hi David
Nice to see you and you are really not so old how you will show us...your work show us all beauty off your "YOUNG" country...

Wow, David,
if that's old and gray? It certainly works... Clever idea and I am quite impressed by what you consider old and gray. It looks good. Nicely done.... Many thanks and kind regards,
