It's nice to see people digging out their old photos, fixing them up and putting them on TL. This is one GREAT action shot, with a bit of humour too. I smiled when I saw the bottom up in the air.

i've only been white water rafting once, and due to the fact that i was younger. i was a little scared of the possible danger. in the end, it was a great adventure. the only tragedy was, that my sneakers were ruined, and because it was during a two week summer camp, i had to walk in wet sneakers the whole time.

the water looks fierce, the boat, is wet and full of adventure. the photo is humourous, the vertical smile of the subject, shines from the sunlight. the character, looks like he got a mouthful of water.

good stuff, i think i'll go again one of these days.

No wonder you had a good response to this one. Very amusing. Unconventional rafting style and no points from the judges for star quality.
As is obvious - you WERE very lucky to catch this but half the success is due to the fact that you were ready and that counts more than the luck aspect.
This one is not about photographic quality - it is all about content. 10/10 from the Manila Jury.
