OK, my one and only pet shot ;) This is Prince, or as we call him "Princey Pup"... when he is good and not driving us crazy. A Border Collie breed. As you can see, they love to run.

And you got him on the run. No pun intended Chris. And seeing this picture, my first glimpse of Nikon D70's capture. While everything else looked "motion" blurred, Princey Pup which is actually in motion, is frozen.

Very good picture !
It gives me a great sensation of velocity !
Very well done !

Just enough blur to reflect the mouvement, nice bright colours, well tightly framed, well done Chris!

It's good we can show our pets at least once... Because it tells a lot about the owner, don't you think?
This one is joyful, filled with energy, and a bit naughty maybe, does the description suit the master? :o)

A great action shot, Chris. I like the way you captured Prince staring directly at the camera. Good detail. Well done.

After trying to many times to capture movement on different animals such as ducks, chickens and birds, without very much success, I do appreciate a good shot of an animal in movement such as this one where the action is really frozen as he he is running. Taking the shot from ground level is really great.

Waving a sausage, were you? He looks really focussed and keen ;-) Which aperture did you use? It seems you've aimed for fairly shallow DOF to get only the front end of the dog in focus while the rest has (motion) blur. I like the effect.

A typical look of the hardworking ( and often hard playing) Border Collie.I once clocked our BC running at 40kph ...their "start up" speed is lightening fast.Princey has his alert eyes locked on to something...he's get ready to round up that photographer by applying gentle nips on the ankles:-)

I like this a lot. Princey's frozen in time, expression and all. The only distracting element is the grass in the forefront.

très joli mouvement dans cette photo, c'est ton chien????

Aaaah! Another border, my favorite dog! Kind of shot i would like to realize with mine. Very well catched , as he seems to spring out of the bushes. I like the way he shows going on the right, but looking left. It shows how fast this super dog changes direction according to his objective. Very attractive motion feeling. Face (mouth) shows an intense concentration, close to agressivity, only feigned, as this dog is not agressive at all. Beautiful dog you have, Chris! Thanks for sharing.

Great capture of the dog running. I wonder what he is running after.
