Sun shining through forest and fog along the banks of the Willamette River near Buena Vista, Oregon USA

The Story:
I'd intended to go down to the riverbank to take fog pictures but could not find my way through thick vegetation so gave up. I'm facing it but the river is about 100 feet(33 meters) from where this picture was taken.

I was walking back disappointed I could not find my way to the river when I glanced over to see this. It was one of those things you encounter unexpectedly and just turn and take the picture on instinct. The fog was in the trees but not where I was standing just a few meters away.

In a few moments the fog drifted away and those great rays disappeared. I took several pictures but this was the first one. B&W is perfect for the scene. :)

What a mystery...let us thing about this:-) I would love to stay there, in the middle of light. I like this, simple and very original. Excellent B&W choice.
